Although some of my strongest memories are of times when I didn’t have a camera, I think that I’d have forgotten these incidents if I didn’t have these photos.
Dennis Hodgsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409579380626581592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8290973459084131413.post-32475175326823137312013-07-01T23:23:32.950+08:002013-07-01T23:23:32.950+08:00Great photos, Dennis. I think a good alternative career for you might've been as a Hollywood stunt man.nothing profoundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02538561601096574876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8290973459084131413.post-27481837662731447562013-06-13T04:50:05.683+08:002013-06-13T04:50:05.683+08:00Hi Pat. I’m sure that some of the stuff we did back then wouldn’t be permitted by modern safety boards, but I had a reputation for pushing students beyond their self-imposed limits. That was always the traditional Outward Bound philosophy, but it’s become more touchy-feely in recent decades. I’ve been thinking about writing about some of my experiences in Outward Dennis Hodgsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409579380626581592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8290973459084131413.post-10876557564538698112013-06-13T04:39:10.468+08:002013-06-13T04:39:10.468+08:00You’re quite right Rum. Giving people copies of photos you’ve taken is a long-established custom in Hong Kong, perhaps because photo-processing was always ridiculously cheap. I would do it all again now too, apart from the jump, which wouldn’t be good for my knee.

Dennis Hodgsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409579380626581592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8290973459084131413.post-23082093842132053002013-06-13T03:02:53.993+08:002013-06-13T03:02:53.993+08:00Hi Dennis! Great post!

I went through an Outward Bound program many years ago in the Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California. I've always been a pretty physical person, but I did some things there that really surprised me. You have surely lived a life of adventure and I admire you for that. I wouldn't jump that rock for a million pounds.

It must be such a joy to look back at those old photos remembering what you did back in the day.
